What to Wear to Animal Kingdom for a Wild Adventure

Planning a trip to Disney and wondering what to wear to Animal Kingdom? Well look no further.

From a summer bucket list activity to a fun birthday idea, a trip to a theme park is an amazing opportunity to experience fantastic attractions and rides.

As Disney World’s largest theme park, Animal Kingdom is in incredible park centered around nature and beautiful attraction .

From shoes to sunscreen, check out the following points in planning what to wear to the park.

What to Wear to Animal Kingdom

Dress Comfortably

Like any theme park, when considering what to wear to Animal Kingdom, prioritize comfort because you’ll be walking and spending a lot of time outdoors.

From shorts to long pants, dress, and a skirt, wear whatever fits your style and comfort level.

If you’re going to wear a dress, make sure that it’s not too long or short.

This way, you can easily hop on and off rides without the dress causing any trouble, like riding up or getting caught on things.

Wear Comfortable Shoes

Choosing comfy shoes is crucial when deciding what to wear to the park.

From past experiences, I’ve found that shoes without cushioning and narrow fronts, like Converse and Vans, make my feet ache.

Opt for shoes that give your toes some wiggle rooms and have cushioned soles for the hours of walking ahead.

Crocs, cushioned sandals, and sneakers with good cushioning are solid options for comfortable footwear.

Consider the Weather

Check the weather before deciding what to wear to Animal Kingdom.

In true Florida fashion, the weather can be unpredictable; it might start at 50 degrees and climb to 70 throughout the day.

If you’re going in winter or spring and the forecast predicts cold, consider packing a light sweater or jacket.

Animal Print

For Animal Kingdom vibes, animal print clothes are a perfect fit!

If you prefer a subtle style, add animal prints through accessories like shoes, belts, and hats.

Wear a Small Bag

Besides dressing comfortably, rock a small, lightweight bag for your essentials like phone and keys.

Many rides let you keep your bag with you, and a small one saves you from constantly stashing it in lockers.

What Should you Wear to Animal Kingdom

Comfortable Accessories

For extra comfort, you can wear accessories like a hat and sunglasses.

They’ll help keep you cool and comfortable throughout your day at the park.

Extra Pair of Clothes

If you’re hitting up water rides like Kali River Rapids, think about packing a spare outfit.

While the sun will help dry you off, having an extra shirt, socks, or pants can save you from wandering around in wet clothes for a while.

Wear Sunscreen

In addition to what to wear, don’t forget to wear sunscreen!

You will be spending a lot of time outdoors walking around the park and it’s essential to protect your skin from the sun.

What not to Wear to Animal Kingdom

Although Animal Kingdom doesn’t have a particular dress code, the Disney World website has the following guidelines on what not to wear to the parks.
